She was born to Gottlieb and Bertha (Bender) Krause on February 6, 1922, in rural Venturia, North Dakota. She grew up on the family farm and worked in the restaurant industry until her retirement. She moved to Michigan to be closer to her brother. She lived a good, healthy life, but there comes a time when life must end. The Bible says there is a time to be born and a time to die, and this was her appointed time. Those who have shared in Marcella's life are her sister, Nadine and her husband Harvey Miller of Lodi, CA, sisters-in-law, Elsie Krause of Ellendale, ND and Elaine Krause of Oregon city, OR, and many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention, but not forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers, and one sister. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 17, at 1 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 267 N. Mills Ave., in Lodi, CA. There is no visitation and committal is private. Lodi Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
