Lamar Carl Moledor
Lamar Carl Moledor, 79, of Kent, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at his residence.
He was born December 25, 1928, in Kent, to Carl Lewis and Marguerite Catherine (Wagner) Moledor. He retired from Kent State University as custodian. He enjoyed collecting elephants (only with their trunks up for good luck) and Dalmatian dogs, Ohio State Football, and polka and country music. He loved his grandchildren and was a social person always helping those that needed help. He was proud that his birthday was on Christmas Day and he loved to tell everyone that he shared his birthday with Jesus. He was a member of St. Patrick Church, Twenty Year Club at Kent State University, and a life member of the Public Employee Retiree's.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Winnefeld), whom he married on August 7, 1954; son, Carl Moledor of Kent; daughters, Barbara E. Moledor of Ravenna and Ann Woodward of Kent; grandchildren, Kelly Woodward, Curtis Woodward, and Susan Woodward; brother, Gerald Moledor of Kent.
Calling hours will be held 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 15 at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory in Kent. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, February 16 at St. Patrick Church. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorial contributions may be made to American Diabetes Association Akron Area Chapter, 1815 W. Market Street, Suite 108, Akron, OH 44313 or the Autism Society of Greater Akron, P.O. Box 2831, Akron, Ohio 44309-2831. He was a kind and gentle soul and loved people. He will be greatly missed by his family and all those who knew him.
