Mrs. Marcella "Marcie" Heupel, 72, of Rogers passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2004, in Rogers. She was born Sept. 27, 1931, the youngest of 11 children in Leola, S. D., to Fred and Katherine Guthmiller Bender. She was the owner and operator of Marcel Royale Beauty Academy in Rogers for 22 years after graduating from St. Joseph?s Beauty Academy in 1971 in Fargo, N. D.
Before coming to Rogers, she was an instructor at Robinson Beauty School in Brooklyn Park, M. N.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers for 22 years.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Royal Heupel; a daughter, Deborah Brudvig of Bella Vista; two sons, Craig Heupel of Fargo, N. D., and Ross Heupel of Saint Paul, M. N.; two brothers, Alvin Bender of Rogers and August Bender of Bismarck, N. D.; a sister, Emma Heupel of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren, Stacy Clair, Melissa Guyll, Carly Gaddie, Chip Heupel, Kit Heupel, Matt Heupel; and two great-grandchildren, Trey Guyll and Colin Clair.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today in the Nelson-Berna Funeral Home Chapel, 4520 N. Crossover Road, Fayetteville 72703.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Rogers. The Rev. Tommy Hinson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Tuck?s Chapel Cemetery in Rogers. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 626 W. Olive St., Rogers 72756.
