She was born March 23, 1932, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Gayle Cooper and Mary Hughes Transue. Ms. Lisher was a homemaker. She was a member of Home League at Lawrence Salvation Army and a former volunteer at Edgewood Meal Site. She married Donald W. Athey. He died Feb. 2, 1986. She married Marion F. Lisher. He died Jan. 16, 1996. Ms. Lisher was preceded in death by a son, Wayne L. Athey. Survivors include two daughters, Gail Ryan, Lawrence, and Karen Ann Stewart, Centerview, Mo.; four half-brothers, David W. Transue, Topeka, Charles F. Transue, Mission, Gary Cooper, and James Cooper, Olathe; three half-sisters, Paula Wolgast, Lawrence, Charlene K. Hart, Independence, Mo., Mary Ann Montgomery, Georgetown, Texas; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
