He was born January 31, 1923 in Saint Paul, Minnesota, the son of Emil and Mary Gombold.He was the husband of Mary (Hickel) Gombold, Noblesville, who survives.Leonard was a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville and a World War II U. S. Army Veteran. He retired from the Field Engineering Division of IBM in 1983. After his retirement he organized the Noblesville Community Outreach and worked with them for many years counseling and assisting the disadvantaged of the community with their housing and financial concerns.He was preceded in death by wife, Jerry Lee (Hightower) Gombold.A daughter, Leslie Therese (Alan) Bean survives.In 1951 he married Rose (Terhune) Gombold.
