Mrs. Ruth Katherine Alger:
Following several months of illness Mrs. Ruth Katherine Alger, passed away at her home, South Long lake Road, Friday. Mrs Alger was forty-five years old.
Rosary was said at Craft's Funeral Home Sunday evening at eight and Requiem High Mass was sung Monday at nine o'clock in the forenoon at St. Johns Catholic Church with Fr. D.P. Tighe officiating. Burial in the cemetery adjoining the Church.
Survivors are; the husband, Ben Alger; a son David and Daughter Sarah Jane, both at home, two step-sons, Ben of the United States navy and Fred of Ypsilanti; her father and three brothers and a sister, Alfred of Grand Rapids, Harold of Manchester, LaVerne of the United States Army in France, and Mrs. Helen Pennington of Jackson.
