He was born Aug. 10, 1900 in Belmont County, a son of the late Taylor and Magealena Neuhart Stephen. He was a member of the Boston Church of Christ and Moose Lodge No. 1304. He way preceded in death by his wife, Edna, May 25, 1982, also four sons and a daughter. Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Hazel Jackson, Mrs. Martha Eddy, both of Bailey's Mills, Mrs. Glenda Betts of Bethesda, Mrs. Eileen Wehr of Canton; three sons, Kelley of Hendrysburg, Bobby of Ozark, and Ruben of Barnesville; one sister, Iona Taylor of Barnesville; one brother, Fred of Somerton; 37 grandchildren and 58 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Campbell-Plumly Funeral Home, Barnesville, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, with Evangelist James Gallagher officiating.
