Beighle, Trent E,
Age 45 of Dayton, OH passed away suddenly Friday, September 26, 2014 at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Trent had battled a brain tumor for the past five years. He also recently had a stroke, which is thought to be unrelated to his brain tumor. He had been battling back from this and making amazing progress when he experienced medical complications resulting from a blood clot.
Trent is preceded in death by his grandparents Dorothy Beighle, Robert Pence and Thelma Pence as well as his uncle Rex Beighle.
After graduating from Franklin Monroe High School in 1987, Trent went on to complete a degree in Engineering at Wright State University. He worked for Black and White Technologies for 17 years working his way up to the title of President. During his time there Trent was recognized as one of the top 40 businessmen in Dayton under the age of 40. Around this time Trent obtained a master?s degree in Business Management, writing his master?s thesis on servant leadership. Trent went on to found his own engineering firm, PE Services, in 2003. PE Services grew over the following years to become nationally recognized under his direction.
Over the course of his life, Trent was an avid sports fan. He played baseball and soccer while growing up and focused on baseball through high school. After that Trent played in a number of organized soccer and softball leagues. He also loved to play tennis and golf with friends and family. He also had a passion for coaching his kids. For almost 20 years he coached baseball, basketball and soccer teams that his children played on. Trent was well known for his passion as a coach and the fiery personality he brought to it. He always wanted to push those he coached to reach their potential, but most importantly he embraced so many kids as an extension of his own family. As another example of this, beginning in 2002, Trent and his family began to host minor league baseball players from the Dayton Dragons. In the last 12 years, the family has hosted more than 100 young men chasing their dreams, opening their family to provide them a home away from home. Toward the end of this time Trent also served as a co-Chaplin for the Dragons, furthering his heart to serve others.
Trent lived a full life and had a great deal of passion for many things. In 2009 Trent was diagnosed with a brain tumor, an experience that he always said gave him a new perspective and focus that he would not have wished for anyone else, but that he would not have traded. Since that time, Trent re-doubled his efforts to serve, following what God had called him to do. He believed strongly that we are all blessed with specific talents and spiritual gifts, so he vigorously sought out any opportunity that he felt was in need of his gifts.
Over the past 5 years, working both through his church Christian Life Center and on his own, Trent worked on presenting his story to businessmen encouraging them to keep their work in perspective and use it as a branch of service; he worked with the Miami Valley Women?s center to support pregnancy counseling in the greater Dayton Area; he helped raise money for the Shemenski Foundation to further efforts in brain cancer research; he worked with The Luke Commission to coordinate construction projects and organizational planning for their medical missions in Swaziland; he worked as an organizing consultant for a number of Christian performance artists; he served the Premier Foundation as a consultant on building projects for a mission center in Detroit, a church in New Orleans effected by Hurricane Katrina, a community center in Mexico, a playground in Jamaica and many other similar works.
All of these things are just a small part of the impact that Trent has had and they shine a light on what is the most important part of the legacy that Trent leaves behind, which is his faith in Jesus Christ, his savior and Lord; the way, the truth and the life. Trent wanted to shape his life as an example to others of the power Christ can have when we allow him to work through our hands. More than anything else, he wanted to be a witness; and hoped through his life as many people as possible would see and accept the light of Christ.
Trent is survived by his wife of 27 years, Valerie (Kress) Beighle; his children Kory(Nicole), Jordan(Amanda), Kaitlyn & Ashlyn; his grandson Holden; his parents, Ted and Sheila (Pence) Beighle; his grandfather Ralph Beighle; his brothers Dana (Martee) and Aaron (Heather) and numerous other relatives and many special friends.
Visitation will be held at Christian Life Center, 3489 Little York Rd. Dayton, OH 45414, from 5-9 PM Friday, Oct. 3, and on Saturday, Oct. 4 from 9-11 AM. A Celebration of Life will follow the visitation on Saturday, beginning at 11 AM. Trent wanted everyone to be comfortable, so please wear whatever attire makes you comfortable. Also, the family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations: the Luke Commission, the Premier Foundation, the Miami Valley Women?s Center, the Shemenski Foundation or Christian Life Center.
