Burial will be held at 2:30 PM CDT at the Halliday Cemetery, Halliday, ND. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 9:00 PM Thursday at Eastgate Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the nursing home. Roger was born February 4, 1930, in Streeter, ND, the son of John and Sophia (Wetzel) Remmick. He was raised and educated in Glen Ullin, ND. He entered the U.S. Marines Corps on August 16, 1951, served in the Korean War and was honorably discharged March 4, 1953. On March 23, 1951 Roger married Eunice Ruth Pegg at Halliday, ND. Roger worked construction of power lines from 1955 to 1957. In 1957 he began working with the Bureau of Reclamation and retired in 1985. He lived south of Bismarck for over 40 years until just recently. Roger enjoyed hunting, farming and woodcarving. His greatest enjoyment was his grandchildren. Roger is survived by his three daughters and two sons, Penny of Denver, CO, JoAnn and Jay Hoff of Billings, MT, Brenda and Edward Baumann of Bismarck, Roger Jr. and Patty Remmick of Bismarck, and Kenneth and Yvonne Remmick of Bismarck; one daughter-in-law Mary Remmick of Carrington, ND; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Day of Moffit, ND; three brothers, Lester Remmick of Bismarck, Eugene Remmick of Milwaukee, WI, and Melvin and Deloris Remmick of Bismarck; and several nieces and nephews.
