Hunkler will be held Saturday, August 4 in the Church of the Assumption. The time for the service is set for 11 o?clock. Rodney Hager Hunkler of Reseda, California, and formerly of Barnesville, died Tuesday, June 19, 1984 at Northridge Hospital in Northridge, California following a short illness. He was born in Barnesville on July 28, 1932, the son of the late Arthur F. and Rachel Hager Hunkler. He was graduated from Barnesville High School, was a Catholic by faith and was employed by the General Telephone Company of Santa Monica, California. He is survived by a sister and a brother-in-law, Phoebe and Larry Hayes; two nephews, Aaron, and Derek Hayes, all of Wheaton, Illinois; three aunts and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1968, by his father in 1973, and by his brother, Ted, also in 1973. Bastian-Perrott Mortuary in Northridge, California was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
