Ray R. Zumwalt
Ray Robert Zumwalt, 70, Cleveland, Mo., died Friday, Nov. 11, 2005, at his home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1935 at Barry, Mo., the last of seven children of Vincent Omar and Grace Arlene Harris Zumwalt. At the age of 15, they moved to Cleveland.
On Nov. 23, 1955, he married Sandra Sue McKee. To this union three children were born. They were married 42 years before divorcing in 1998. His companion for the past seven years has been Georgia Netherland of Olathe.
He had worked for Pitman Manufacturing, RO and Drake and Skruggs in Grandview, Mo., where he retired.
Preceding him in death were his brother, Everett Zumwalt; three sisters, Nadine Reeves, Faye McClung and Edith DeCaVelle; and grandson, Noah Pitts Zumwalt.
Surviving are his three children, Kevin, Keith and Missy, all of Cleveland; one brother, Vincent Vernon Zumwalt, Cleveland; a twin sister, Vivian, of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Wilson and Son Funeral Home, 120 South Broadway, Louisburg. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday. Burial in Cleveland Cemetery.
The family suggest contributions to the Ray R. Zumwalt Memorial Fund.
