Mert was the son of the late Conrad Alfred Nageldinger and Catherine Wayand Nageldinger. He graduated from Gorham Central School in 1951. Mert served in the U. S. Army from 1954 to 1957. He married Sharon Ansley on March 30, 1959 in St. John?s Lutheran Church. Mert worked with his dad as a carpenter, and built the house he and his wife, Sharon have always lived in. He continued to work as a carpenter for his entire life. Mert enjoyed his family, gardening, and hunting. Mert is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon; one son, Edward (Deborah); one daughter, Susan (Jay); grandson, Brian; granddaughter, Amy; brothers-in-law, Robert (Sandra) Ansley, and Warren Foster; and several nieces and nephews. Mert was predeceased by his sisters, Norma Foster and Laura Pielow; and his brother-in-law, Harold Pielow. Arrangements are by the Kenneth J. Perkins Fune
