Mae Catherine Zahm, 81, 1018 Cherry St., died at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday (Oct. 11, 1988) at Huntington Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Zahm had been employed as a cashier at the Thrift grocery store. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Rosary Sodality and the Daughters of Isabella.
She was born May 25, 1907, in Huntington, to George and Alice Bryant Eisenhauer. Her marriage was June 5, 1950 at St. Felix Friary to William M. Zahm, who died Jan. 27, 1976.
Survivors include two stepsons, Jack W. Zahm, Huntington, and James S. Zahm, Sacramento, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Berniece Flora, Huntington, and Lucy Frantz, Fort Wayne; and a brother, Robert H. Eisenhauer, Huntington.
Five brothers preceded her in death.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hart Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. William Krummer officiating.
Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Preferred memorials are contributions to the St. Mary's Catholic Church widow fund.

Services for Mae Catherine Zahm were held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. William Kummer officiating.
Pallbearers were grandsons John Zahm, Robert Zahm, Eric Zahm, Mark Zahm, and Philip Zahm.
Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
