Born February 2, 1936 in Pittsburgh, PA, she was the daughter of Martin Shea and Florence Vause Shea. LaVerne was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Sepulcher R.C. Church. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family. Surviving are daughter, Tracy Starr of Saxonburg, 2 sons, Doug (Neta) Stierheim of Fairbanks, AK and Greg Stierheim of Brambleton, VA, her grandchildren Daniel (Martha) Stierheim, grandson, Andrew (Ashleen) Starr and Lindsey Starr, 2 great granddaughters Eunice and Katie. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert C. Stierheim on May 16, 2013. Friends will be received on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Fox Funeral Home, Inc., Saxonburg, PA. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 9, 2016, 10:00 am at the Holy Sepulcher R. C. Church, with Fr. Robert Cedolia officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Savior Cemetery, Gibsonia. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
