Joanne Truax, age 76, of South High Street, Woodsfield, Ohio, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 in the Monroe County Care Center, Woodsfield. She was born April 23, 1927 in Monroe County, Ohio a daughter of the late Homer Ricer and Wella Moose Ricer. She was preceded in death by one son, Dwight David Truax and an aunt, Elva Norris, two sisters, Virginia Buzzard and Martha Boggs. Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Junior L. Truax, of Woodsfield; two sons: Ryan Truax and his wife Annette of Pittsburgh and Mark Truax and his wife Kathy of Woodsfield; two daughters, Sandra Sockman and her husband Jim of St. Clairsville, Jean Cross and her husband Wayne of New Martinsville; three sisters Patricia Miller and her husband Ted of Wintersville, Betty Buelich of Monroe, North Carolina, Margaret Kessler and her husband Edward of Wellston, Ohio; six grandchildren and six great - grandchildren. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 22, 2003 with Rev.
