Kathleen I. Przybylski, 81, BUTTERNUT ? The Lord called His faithful servant, Kathleen, home on August 30, 2006 at Park Manor Nursing Home in Park Falls at the age of 81 years. Kathleen was surrounded by her family and under the care of hospice at the time of her death. She was born on August 5, 1925 in Butternut, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Weinberger) Bruch. She graduated from Butternut High School in 1943 and later from Ashland County Normal and the University of Wisconsin-Superior. Kathleen taught elementary grades at Boness, Shanagolden, Bruch, and Butternut Schools. She was the last teacher at the Bruch School prior to the consolidation. On August 17, 1946 she married Lawrence Przybylski in Butternut where they resided on the family farm. She was a dedicated homemaker and partner on the farm. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut, the Christian Women and belonged to the Eager Beaver Homemakers Club. Kathleen enjoyed Scrabble, cards, sewing, knitting and crocheting, dancing and gardening. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Larry of Butternut; five children: Sue (Jerry) Pennington of Post Lake, Cheri (Richard) Broadwell of Willow Springs, Ill., Laurie (Steve) Hart of Park Falls, Mary (Rob) Radlinger of Kaukauna, Rick (Barb) Przybylski of Ashland; 13 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; a brother, Walter (Loretta) Bruch of Kenosha, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Matt Bruch, and two nephews. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 4, at 11 a.m. from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Butternut. Fr. James Jackson will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Cecelia Catholic Cemetery in Butternut. A visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. The Novitzke Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials to the Flambeau Home Health and Hospice and the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation would be appreciated.
