  [S927] Obituary. Jerome S. MoncmanJerome S. Moncman, age 73, of Uhrichsville, OH, passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Hennis Care Center, Dover, OH, following a short illness. Born March 11, 1931, at Benwood, WV, Jerome was the son of the late Steve Moncman and Julia Zilka Moncman. Jerome graduated from Union High School in Benwood, WV. He formerly lived in the Martins Ferry and Canton area before moving to Uhrichsville, OH four years ago. Jerome retired in 1992 from Nickles Bakery in Navarre, OH. On August 25, 1981, Jerome married Sarah Kemna Moncman in Martins Ferry, OH. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. Jerome is survived by his wife, Sarah Moncman of the home; his children, Teresa Marie Moncman of the home, Lynn (Ed) Balough of Milford, OH, Julie (Dave) Milnes of Charleston, SC, Josie (Greg) Hill of Cary, NC, Steve Moncman Jr. of Canton, OH, Carole Moncman and her companion, Brian Stern of Georgetown, KY, Tony (Helene) Moncman of Carrollton, OH, Andy (Cheryl) Moncman of East Canton, OH, Mike (Sandy) Moncman of Goose Creek, SC, Phyllis Wallace of Massillon, OH, Frank (Karen) Wallace of Dexter, ME, and Paula (Stan) Conrad of Amherst, OH; one brother, Cy (Pat) Moncman of Wellsburg, WV; one sister, Ceil (Ed) Petros of Wheeling, WV; 18 grandchildren; and a very close friend of the family, Renay McPhearson. In addition to his parents, Jerome is preceded in death by his first wife, Joan Moncman, who died in 1975; and two brothers, Charles and Bernard Moncman. Funeral services for Jerome will be held at 4 p.m., Sunday, October 3, 2004 at the Uhrich-Hostettler Funeral Home, Inc., at Uhrichsville, OH with Fr. Bill Arnold officiating the Rite of Christian Burial. Calling hours will be 1-4 p.m. Sunday, October 3, 2004 prior to services at the funeral home. After services, the family will be receiving guests at their home. In keeping with Jerome?s wishes, cremation will take place.
