  [S927] Obituary. Jeanette Marian Modro, 94, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, January 10, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was born January 7, 1925 in Belleville, IL to Fred and Emma (Lebkuecher) Ehrstein. She married Harold ?Moe? Wayne Modro, Sr. on April 10, 1948, in Belleville, IL. He passed away October 25, 1997. She is survived by her eight children, Hal Modro of Neponset, IL, Tim (Amy) Modro of Forsyth, IL, Fred (Oznur) Modro of Houston, Tx, Mary (Edward) Knobeloch of Dothan, AL, Susan (Mike) Jakovac of Columbia, IL, Michele (Del) Peters of Maroa, IL, Caroline (Tim) Thrall of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Monica (Jesse) Jinks of Decatur, IL; her daughter-in-law, Lisa Modro of Kewanee, IL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Tom Ehrstein of Belleville, IL and Fred (Rosemary) Ehrstein of Belleville, IL She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and her son, Daniel Modro. The family would like to give special thanks to HSHS St. Johns Hospice for their compassion and care for their mom. Visitation services to celebrate the life of Jeanette Modro will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, January 14, 2019, at Graceland/Fairlawn Funeral Home.
