She was born in Louisville on Aug. 24, 1920, to the late Norman and Hilda (Immel) Shoemaker. Jane was a retired beautician and was a member of the Paradise United Church of Christ in Louisville and its Strausser Sunday School Class, Nimishillen Grange and Chapter 21 Police and Fireman Retirees. She was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, in 1991, a sister, Dorothy Wagner, and a brother, J. Bernard Shoemaker. She is survived by a sister, Norma Summers of Louisville, a brother and sister-in-law, Eugene and Barbara Shoemaker of Alliance, and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Stier-Israel Funeral Home of Louisville with the Rev. Cathy Arble officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Louisville. Nimishillen Grange will hold services at 5:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
