Jacquelyn D. Jacobs, 70, of Evansville, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2009, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Washington, Ind., on September 27, 1938. She worked at Methodist Temple Day Care and North High School Day Care. She was a faithful member of American Baptist East Church and taught Sunday school when she was younger. She loved spending time with her family and loved to crochet and knit. Jacquelyn devoted her life to Jesus, her Lord and Saviour. In the eyes of her family, she was looked upon as a proper lady, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Nellie Kehl. Jacquelyn is survived by her husband, James; her son, Jeffrey (Jeanne) Jacobs of Richmond, Ky.; daughter, Julie (David) Woolston; son, Jon (Stacey) Jacobs; daughter, Jennifer "Ginger" (Phillip) Norris; grandchildren, James Woolston, Jamie (Kyle) Hoffman, Morgan Jacobs, Molly Jacobs, Joshua Jacobs, Cassidy Jacobs and Ally Jacobs; sister, Erma Osterhage of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, Frank (Rita) Kehl of Vincennes, Ind.; and brother-in-law, Harold (Sharon) Jacobs of Dade City, Fla. A special thanks to Dr. Anthony Stephens and his staff, and to Deaconess Hospice. A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2009, at American Baptist East, officiated by Rev. Jeff Stratton, with burial at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until service time at the church.
