Marsh, 79, of 313 Fifth Street, died in the Franklin Hospital at 8:45 p.m. Saturday following a two-year illness. He had been hospitalized since December 30.Mr. Marsh was born in Coal Hill Jan. 13, 1881, a son of Simon P. and Henrietta Desque Marsh. Prior to moving to Franklin, he had resided in Midland for approximately 25 years where he was manager of the Midland District of the Peoples Natural Gas Company of Pittsburgh.He was a member of the Franklin Free Methodist Church. He was married to the former Mary E. Rosenzweig in 1909. She survives along with one daughter, Mrs. Harry C. (Katheryn) Hand of Glendale, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Mae Young of Franklin, and two brothers, Charles E. Marsh of Greensburg and Fred B. Marsh of Coal Hill.Friends are being received anytime at the Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home, Franklin. Private funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with Rev. A.J. Lindsey of Titusville officiating, assisted by Rev. Dewey Yale, pastor of the Franklin Free Methodist Church.
