He was born in Monroe County Ohio, December 12, 1904, a son of the late John W. and Clara Ackerman Christman. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Unity Baptist Church, Sardis. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Lester and Linda Christman of Sardis, Harry Dean and b also of Sardis; two daughters and sons-in-law, Ruth Ann Knowlton Ridgeway and Gerald Ridgeway of Sardis, Mary Katherine and David McIntire of Clarington, Ohio; three brothers, Howard Christman of Lewisville, Ohio, Herbert Christman of Summerfield, Ohio, Lee Christman of Quaker City, Ohio; three sisters, Helen Starr of Summerfield, Mary Hayes of Quaker City, Cleo Carpenter of Lewisville; 11 grandchildren, Pamela Cockran, Michael Christman, James A.
