OBER, 92, formerly of Clymer, died Monday, Oct. 20, 1986, in the Indiana Presbyterian Home.A son of Andrew C. and Hanna Margaret Fyock Ober, he was born Feb. 15, 1894, in Cherryhill Township.Mr. Ober was a member of the Church of the Brethren, Purchase Line, and was a Deacon in the church; member Pennsylvania Retired Public School Employees Association, Pennsylvania Retired State Employees Association, Penn State and IUP Alumni Associations, AARP.He had lived in the Clymer area all his life and had been a teacher in the Pennsylvania public schools, Clarion State Teachers College and IUP for 49 1/2 years, retiring in 1966.Surviving are three sons and a daughter: Galen L., Clarion; Clarence D., Clymer; Clyde E., Commodore; Mrs. Paul (Naomi) Emigh, Clymer RD 2; 19 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Edna Nicewonger, Clymer.He was preceded in death by his first wife, Nora Mae Myers Ober, his second wife, Ethel Emigh Ober, his third wife, Ida Fyock Ober; two daughters: Vada Marie Ober, Mrs. Leona Buterbaugh; two brothers: Clifton and Solomon; a sister, Mrs. Nervie Bailey.Friends will be received from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday (today) and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at Robinson-Lytle's, Indiana, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
