Mr. VanGorder was born the son of the late Harl and Elizabeth (DeRidder) VanGorder on Friday, May 10, 1935 in Newark, NY. When living in Newark Mr. VanGorder was known for being an avid bowler. Once he bowled a game leaving the 10 pin with the roll of the first ball for each of the 10 frames. He worked for newspapers in California as a pressman. Mr. VanGorder will be remembered by his brother Dean VanGorder of Newark; sister-in-law Diane VanGorder of Wolcott; many nieces and nephews. Mr. VanGorder was predeceased by wife Kate VanGorder; brother Gary and Wayne VanGorder; sister-in-law Irene VanGorder.
