  [S927] Obituary. Wednesday, October 10, 2007 Story last updated at 1:25 am on 10/10/2007 Elmer Wollman Press & Dakotan OLIVET -- Elmer F. Wollman, age 81, of rural Olivet SD, passed away on Monday October 8, 2007, at Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Parkston, SD due to a battle with West Nile Virus. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2007, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Menno SD, with Rev. David Ellis officiating. Burial will be in the Menno Cemetery, Menno, SD. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday October 10, 2007, at Aisenbrey-Kostel Funeral Home, Menno SD, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Elmer Filmore Wollman was born May 3, 1926, to Herman and Emma (Mehlhaf) Wollman, of Rural Olivet, SD. He was baptized and confirmed into the Lutheran faith and was an active member of the church throughout his life. He married Elaine Werning of Emery, SD on October 16, 1949, in Clayton, SD. Elmer and Elaine were blessed with five children: Raymond, Renee, Linda, Lois and Carol. Elmer farmed his entire life. He was a strong supporter of the Sioux Valley Chapter of Huntington's Disease as well as the local Menno Chapter and was always hopeful for a cure. Much of his life was spent caring for his family. Elmer enjoyed visiting his family and friends especially his children and grand children. Elmer is survived by his daughters: Carol of the Menno-Olivet Care Center in Menno, SD, Lois (Jim) Fanning of Olivet, SD; grandchildren: Kelsey, Kayla and Cameron Fanning of Olivet, SD, Erin, Kevin and Karen Sheehy and great-granddaughter, Kyah Sheehy of Sioux Falls, SD, and son-in-law, Earl Sheehy of Wahoo, NE.
