Preceded in death by his first wife, June (Helsel) Baumgardner; and brothers, Ivan and Clyde. Survived by his second wife, Esther (Lybarger) Baumgardner; stepchildren, Doug Strayer, and wife, Sherry; Bardon Strayer, and wife, Kathy; and Dixie Lampel, and husband, Barry; seven stepgrandchildren; and 18 stepgreat-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews, Irene Seese, and husband, Weldon; Robert Baumgardner, and wife, Marlene; Ray Baumgardner, and wife, Joyce; Betty Miller, and husband, Robert; Esther Chestnutwood, and husband, Lee; Marlin Baumgardner, and wife, Bernie; and Ronald Baumgardner, and wife, Sue. Member of Belmont United Methodist Church and Greater Johnstown Lodge 538 F&AM and was a charter member of Johnstown Flood City Antique Car Club. He retired after 42 years of service from Bethlehem Steel. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Belmont United Methodist Church, 107 Coldren St., the Rev. Keith Dunn, officiating. Interment, Richland Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Arbutus Park Manor or Asera Care Hospice. Henderson Funeral Home, East Hills, 2503 Bedford St., is in charge of arrangements.
