Thorson, 72, went home to be with Jesus April 16, 2011. He was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Ames, Iowa, and lived in Pahrump for eight years, having come from California. He loved to play games, golf and share Jesus with everyone around him. Cliff was a member of Choice Hills Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, AWANA director, helped in the kitchen, nursery and in many other areas. Cliff had a servant?s heart and will be greatly missed. He leaves behind his wife of 47-and-a-half years Lorraine Thorson; sons Lance of Tennessee and Peter (Jamie) of Washington; one granddaughter, many adopted grandchildren; brother Gene (Betty) of Iowa and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at 2 p.m. April 30, at Choice Hills Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Nathan Adelson Hospice.? (04/16/2011)
