McPherson, 95, of Parkersburg died Jan. 10, 2004, in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born at Rockport, a son of the late Harry C. McPherson Sr. and Ora Tenna Pfalzgraf McPherson. He was a 1928 graduate of Parkersburg High School and retired from the former FMC after 45 years of service. Reverend McPherson served in the ministry most of his life and was a member of the Evangelical Methodist Church, Parkersburg. He was a licensed master electrician and plumber. He is survived by two daughters, Donna J. Sprouse and Jane Barker, both of Parkersburg; two sons, Richard C. McPherson and wife, Barbara, of Ravenswood and L. Lyle McPherson and wife, Pearl, of Parkersburg; one sister, Thelma Miller, originally of Rockport and now Parkersburg; three brothers, Harry C. McPherson Jr., originally of Rockport and now Parkersburg, Eugene McPherson and Ted McPherson, both of Washington, W.Va.; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Ina G. Moncrief McPherson, in 1982; one daughter, Diane L. Bennett; one grandson, Stuart Lee McPherson; one brother, Ralph McPherson; and two sisters, Alma Byrd and Sylesta McPherson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Evangelical Methodist Church, Gihon Road, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Larry Piatt officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Vaughan Funeral Home, Parkersburg, and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
