Ellis, 63, Yakima resident for 24 years, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Keith & Keith Chapel. Mr. Ellis died Tuesday night at his home, 915 S. 32nd Ave. He had been ill since May.Dr. Recter Johnson will officiate at the services. Interment will be in Terrace Heights Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Harry Brown, Arthur B. Collins, Frank Fairchild, C.W. Halverson, Chester W. Hatfield and J. Walter Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Meade Elliott, Harvey Bradley, George Lemon, Edwin B. Mueller, Howard Peterson, C.H. VanAmburg, Ed Williams and Lee Martin.Members of the Yakima Lions Club will attend in a group.Mr. Ellis was born in Adams County near Ritzville. He had lived all his life in Washington. For a number of years he worked with the state department for rehabilitation of the blind. At one time he also operated a grocery store. In recent years he had been a furniture salesman.He was a member of the First Methodist Church and a member and past president of the Yakima Lions Club.
