ZANESVILLE - Annabelle L. Rose, 79, of Zanesville, went to be with her Lord at 5:55 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, 2007, at the Genesis Good Samaritan Medical Center.
She was born Oct. 18, 1927, in Lewisville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Clement and Margaret Jane Winland Hines.
Annabelle was a longtime member of the Norval Park Church of Christ for 57 years, the Muskingum Valley Stepping Stones for Ohio Valley University, was an avid beanie baby collector and had a booth at the Mudgett Flea Market. For many years she was employed in the deli department at Zane Market.
Surviving are her husband, George Forrest Rose Jr. of the home; three daughters, Linda A. Reed (Gerald Guenther) of Franklin, Ohio, Kelly D. (Richard) Pindel of Norman, Okla., and Lisa M. (Jeffrey) McElwee of Nashport, Ohio; three sisters, Gladys Dilley of Zanesville, Carrie Rutledge of Ontario, Calif., and Katherine Hines of Woodsfield, Ohio; one brother, Ellis (Vera) Hines of Woodsfield; four grandchildren, Christopher (Sara) Reed, Aaron McElwee, Shannan McElwee and Carly Pindel; and three great-grandchildren, Christian Smith, Ethan Reed and Natalie Reed.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, John Terry Rose; two sisters, Edra Rose and Elma Franks; and two brothers, John (Tip) Hines and Mansel Hines.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 8, at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at the Norval Park Church of Christ with Evangelist Dallas Lockhart and Evengelist Tim Gainer officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery near Graysville, Ohio.
