Surviving are also six sons, Henry, William, Charles, Edward and Bernard Gettelfinger, all of Palmyra, and Herman Gettelfinger of Louisville; one daughter, Mrs. Frank Kiesler, New Salisbury; one brother, George Uhl, Palmyra; two sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Hollott, Bedford, Ind., and Mrs. Matilda Kemper of Louisville, and twenty-five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. CORYDON DEMOCRAT OBITUARY ? 07/03/1935 Mrs. Anna Uhl Gettelfinger, wife of George Gettelfinger, passed away Sunday at her home near Bradford following a lingering illness of a complication of diseases. She has been confined to her home the past year. Mrs. Gettelfinger was born April 21, 1866 and was sixty-nine years, two months and nine days of age. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Frances Uhl, and was born and reared in the county. On February 1, 1886, she was united in marriage to George H. Gettelfinger and to this union eleven children were born, four of whom preceded her in death. She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church at Bradford and was a highly esteemed woman of her community. Surviving are her husband, six sons and one daughter, Wm. A. Gettelfinger, Chas. A. Gettelfinger, Henry Gettelfinger, Edw. F. Gettelfinger, Bernard J. Gettelfinger, Mrs. Frank (Agnes) Kiesler of this county, and Herman G. Gettelfinger, of Louisville. She also leaves a brother and two sisters, George Uhl and Mrs. Elizabeth Nolot, of Bradford, and Mrs. Matilda Kemper, of Louisville, twenty-five grandchildren and one great-grandson. Requiem high mass was held yesterday morning at nine o'clock at St. Michael Catholic Church at Bradford, with the Rev. Andrew B. Gettelfinger as celebrant, assisted by the Rev. Joseph Gettelfinger, and the Rev. Fred Gettelfinger as deacon and subdeacon. All are nephews of the deceased. The Rev. John B. Gorman, resident pastor, conducted the burial ceremony. Music was furnished by the church choir. Interment was in the church cemetery, the six sons serving as pallbearers.
