Emma Brady, 82, Mandan, died Feb. 12, 2007, at her home. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Kenneth Phillips as celebrant. Cremation has taken place.
The family will receive visitors one hour before the service at the church on Thursday.
Emma was born June 20, 1924, in Mandan, to Joseph and Julia Froelich. She was raised in St. Anthony. Emma graduated from Mandan High School in 1942. She married Harold on Oct. 30, 1947. Emma worked for Woolworth's, Wachter's Distributing, J.D. Sullivan and Gambles. During all this time, she was a bookkeeper for Brady's Auto Parts for 60 years.
Emma enjoyed reading, casino trips, going for coffee, and cooking during her free time. She took time to relax and go to the Black Hills and Minnesota lake country.
She was a member of the Central Dakota Gem and Mineral Club and the Missouri Valley Historical Society.
Emma will be deeply missed by her husband, Harold, Mandan; one daughter, Pat Brady, Bismarck; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike (Gwen), Mandan; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Joe Froelich, Bismarck; and a special cousin, Sis Eckert, Bismarck.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son-in-law, Bob Brady; three sisters, Pauline Beckler, Betty Magilke and Rose Leingang; and one brother, John.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to the Missouri Valley Historical Society.
