She served as school secretary at Beallsville High School for many years and she was a member of the First Christian Church, Beallsville.In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by a brother, Don Powell; a son-in-law, David Beveridge; a great grandson, Lincoln Hunt.Surviving are her husband of 67 years, Emory Carle; a daughter, Patricia Beveridge of Woodsfield; a grandson, Nathan (Amanda) Beveridge of Timberlake, NC; a granddaughter, Nicole (Matthew) Hunt of Canal Winchester; a brother, Bill (Glenna) Powell, of Barnesville; a sister, Mildred Paine of Fairfax, VA; three great grandchildren, Bentley, Shelby, and Tyler.Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of the funeral service at 2 PM at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville.
