Hoff, 82, died Sept. 21, 1991, in Mesa. He was born Sept. 28, 1908, at Avon, S.D., and lived in Harrold, S.D., before moving to New Underwood in 1929. In 1933 he married Nora Reese, and they lived in New Underwood until 1976, when they moved to Mesa. An electrician, he retired from Ellsworth Air Force Base in 1966. He had been a member of the Black Hills Federal Credit Union Board, the New Underwood School Board and the town board. Survivors include his wife, in Mesa; and three sisters, Marian Laur of Tucson, Ariz., Edna Crawford of Atwater, Calif., and Leona Sorenson of Y. k-ima, Wash.
