Harris, 71, Huntington, died at 1:18 p.m. Saturday (June 18, 2005) at Parkview Huntington Hospital.Mrs. Harris had been a child care provider in Huntington for many years. She had also worked at E-Systems, Memcor Division, for 15 years, retiring in 1973. She was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the American Business Women's Association, and the Tri-State Gas Engine Association.She was born Oct. 20, 1933 in Huntington County, a daughter of Wilbur H. and Mary A. Holzinger Buzzard. She was a 1951 graduate of Huntington Township High School. She married Robert E. Harris in Huntington on Aug. 18, 1961. Her husband survives.Also surviving are a son, Robert "Bob" Harris Jr., Huntington; four daughters, Joda Gerringer, Jona George, Donna Harrell, and Mary Mygrant, all of Huntington; a brother, Morris Buzzard, Huntington; 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a brother, Max Buzzard; and a sister, Marcelene Stricker.Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Myers Funeral Home, Huntington Chapel.
