The former Katharine Meyer was born Jan. 15, 1897, in Hauenstein, Germany, a daughter of the late Karl and Barbara Schwartz Miller Meyer. She came to the United States in 1923 and settled in Sheboygan Falls. On May 19, 1928, she was married to Louis Koeser Sr. of the Town of Schleswig at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheboygan. The couple lived in the Town of Newton for several years and for the past 30 years on their farm in the Town of Rhine. Mrs. Koeser was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Kiel, and the Christian Mothers Society of the church. Survivors are her husband; six daughters, Mrs. Leroy (Delores) Schweitzer of R. 2, Elkhart Lake, Mrs. Eugene (Elaine) Christel, Mrs. Victor (Marlene) Frauenfeld, Mrs. Elwood (Virginia) Voland and Mrs. Roger (Audrey) Zorn, all of Kiel, and Mrs. Marvin (Bonnie) Hassler of Sheboygan Falls; two sons, Elroy of R. 1, Elkhart Lake, and Louis Jr. at home, and 34 grandchildren. Other survivors include a sister, Miss Marie Meyer of Hauenstein, Germany, and three brothers, Herman of Hauenstein, Richard of Sheboygan Falls, and Albert of Sheboygan. Two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.
