Vehmann, Paul: Paul Vehmann, son of Valentine and Elizabeth Funk Vehmann, was born Nov 16, 1907, in Harrington, OK. He departed this life Mar 26, 1993, in St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, MO, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, and 10 days. On Oct 24, 1934, he was united in marriage to Blanche Leone Clark and to this union 3 daughters and 2 sons were born. He was preceded in death by his father on Dec 7, 1948; and mother on Sep 3, 1964; an infant son Loren Harlis in 1945; and a sister Mini Davis in 1952. Paul is survived by his wife Blanche of the home; one son and daughter-in-law Carlos and Patti Vehmann of Springfield, MO; 3 daughters Valda Hagerman, and her husband Jim, and Ozella Young, all of Springfield, MO, and Onita Harper, and her husband Bob, of Manchester, MO; one sister Florence Vehmann of Lebanon, MO; 8 grandchildren Lorelei and Ron Gregory, Paul and Dennis Harper, Kenda, Sabina and Barron Hagerman and Adrienne and Nathan Vehmann; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born in Oklahoma and at the age of two, he moved with his family to Wright County, where he lived throughout most of his life. He attended and graduated from the Hartville High School. After he and Blanche were married, they later made their home on the family farm where they lovingly raised their children. He continued to operate the farm, as it was very special to him. Paul professed his faith in Christ at the age of 13. He was a member of the Prospect Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed being outdoors working on the farm and tending to the garden and the lawn. Paul was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and was a caring neighbor and friend. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his family and his many friends. Burial: Little Creek Cemetery
