She succumbed to cancer on Jan. 9, 2009, in Riverside, CA. She is survived by her devoted husband, Rudy Zavislak; parents Mark and Veronica Davenhauer; sons Thomas and John; daughter Sunny; step-children Janice, Alicia, Marcell, Dale, Russell, and Mark; brother Mark and wife Diane; sister Teresa and husband Dennis; nephews Ryan and Mathew; nieces Nicole, Jennifer and Amanda; 18 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many aunts, uncles and friends. Her personal interests and accomplished skills included crocheting, knitting, needlepoint and making baby doll and little girls clothing. She was a licensed professional esthetician. Services will be held Jan. 22, 2009, at 12:00 noon at the Centerpoint Baptist Church at 170 West F Street in Colton, CA, where she was a devout Christian member. Interment and a Committal Service will follow at 2:15 p.m. at the Riverside Memorial Cemetery on Van Buren Blvd. Family and friends should arrive at the staging area #2 at least 15-20 minutes prior to the service. Timing at the cemetery is critical. Following the service, those who desire to do so, may again meet at the Colton Centerpoint Church for fellowship and prepared food. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to City of Hope, 1055 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90017.
