  [S927] Obituary. Ardyth N. Kennedy 1922 - 2006 Graveside services for Ardyth N. Kennedy, 83, Lawrence, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Kennedy died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born June 16, 1922, in Lawrence, the daughter of Gerhardt and Edna Hodges Planz. She graduated from Liberty Memorial High School in Lawrence. Ardyth and her husband owned Jim?s Steakhouse in Lawrence. She also had worked at Woolworth?s. She married Jim Kennedy on Jan. 2, 1951, in Harrison, Ark. He survives, of the home. Other survivors include two daughters, Vickie Kennedy and Diana Swisher, both of Lawrence; three sons, Gary W. Knight, Manhattan, Larry Kennedy, Lawrence, and Dennis Kennedy, Perry; a brother, Vernon Planz, California; a sister, Naomi Planz, Lawrence; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Warren-McElwain Mortuary. The family suggests memorials to the American Lung Assn., sent in care of the mortuary.
