Walter H Puckett (June 24, 1920 - April 4, 2013) Walter H Puckett Walter H. ?Walt? Puckett, 92, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was born June 24, 1920 to Harry Allen and Bertha Elizabeth (Schütz) Puckett in Lawrence, KS, the oldest of two children. Walter simultaneously worked at Stokely Van Camp and was the owner and operator of Midwest Motors for more than 40 years. Walter is survived by his daughter, Cynthia Puckett-Davis and husband Kurt of Lawrence, KS, and two grandchildren. He is also survived by three nieces and many cousins. Walter was recently predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy Filena (Kagi) Puckett, on Tuesday June 26, 2012. Per his request, due to the fact he discovered upon arrival to the cemetery his wife?s graveside services had been conducted without him and because her memorial contributions collected on his behalf have yet to be received, a private family celebration of his life will be hosted at a later date.
