  [S927] Obituary. Eileen J. Baker 1913 - 2005 Eileen J. Baker 1913 - 2005 IOLA - Eileen J. Baker, 91, Iola, died Tuesday, April 5, 2005, at Windsor Place Nursing Center, Iola. She was born Nov. 27, 1913, at Iola, the daughter of Charles M. and Mamie Buckingham Diehl. She graduated from Iola High School. She lived on a farm south of Iola and helped with the dairy and farm operations. She also helped Dr. Stanzel and Dr. Warren in their veterinary clinics. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church and was a 4-H leader for Prairie Dell 4-H Club in Iola. On April 1, 1934, she married W. Raymond Baker at Iola. He died July 21, 1979. Survivors include a son, Charles Robert "Bob" Baker, Iola; a brother, Raymond Diehl, Derby; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Jerry and Tommie Baker; two brothers, Kimbell and Vernie Diehl; and a sister, Lucy Maloney. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 8 at the funeral home, led by Pastor Dennis McDonald. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Iola. Memorials to Prairie Dell 4-H Club or Allen County Healthcare Foundation (Hospice) may be sent to the funeral home.
