  Anna Barbara Ubelhor Lasher died of myocarditis. (City-County Department of Heath, City of Evansville--Vanderburgh County, Indiana, Book No. 13, Page 109, Reg. No. 85.) She was buried January 22, 1940 in St. Joseph Cemetery, Evansville, Indiana. Obituary of Anna Barbara Lasher: "Mrs. Anna Barbara Lasher, 63, died yesterday afternoon at her home, 811 North Main street. She had been ill since Sunday. "Surviving are: husband, Benjamin F., sons, Herbert, Russell and Mel, Evansville, Lee and Larry, Chicago, Ed, Elyria, O., and Bert, Los Angeles, Cal.; sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Gehlhausen and Mrs. Frank Gehlhausen, Evansville, and Mrs. Dora Bauer, Mrs. Katherine Paulin and Mrs. Ellen Lasher, Siberia; brothers, Jacob and John Ubelhor, Uniontown, and 10 grandchildren. "Funeral services will be held at 7:30 o'clock Monday morning at Ziemer's funeral home and at 8 o'clock at St. Joseph Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery." Additional obituary from the "Ferdinand News" dated January 26, 1940: "Former Resident Dies of Pneumonia -- Mrs. Benjamin Lasher (nee Anna Barbara Uebelhor) died at her home at Evansville last Friday after a five day illness, having attained the age of 63 years." "She is survived by her husband and seven sons: Herbert, Russell and Mel of Evansville, Lee and Larry of Chicago, Ed of Elyria O, and Bert of Los Angeles, California, also the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Elizabeth Goehlhausen, and Mrs. Frank Goehlhausen of Evansville, Mrs. Dora Bauer, Mrs. Catherine Paulin and Mrs. Ellen Lasher of Siberia, John and Jacob Uebelhor of Uniontown and 10 grandchildren." "Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Ziemer Funeral Home at 7:00 o'clock and at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 8:00 o'clock, followed by burial in the church cemetery." "Mr. and Mrs. Lasher were former residents of Ferdinand and built the house now owned and occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Watt Durchholtz. Ben was Justice of the Peace here at one time.
