Ralph E. Keevert
WOODSFIELD - Ralph E. Keevert, 79, of 45658 Township 954, Woodsfield, died at 7:25 p.m. Tuesday (April 27, 2004) at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, W.Va.
He was born March 28, 1925, at his family home near Woodsfield to Chris and Ella Gillespie Keevert. He was a retired construction worker and farmer. He attended the Free Methodist Church of Woodsfield and was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles at Woodsfield.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Maxine Bookhamer Keevert; one son, Ronnie D. Keevert of Woodsfield; one daughter, Mrs. Larry (Patricia) Maddux of Indianapolis, Ind.; six stepdaughters, Mrs. Joseph (Deborah) Block of Woodsfield, Mrs. Charles (Jeanneane) White of Woodsfield, Mrs. Gordon (Cathy) Bippus of Cincinnati, Mrs. Steve (Bonnie) Cook of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Thomas (Rebecca) Stephen of Woodsfield and Mrs. Jeff (Jennifer) Woodell of Woodsfield; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and four nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Dale Keevert; and two sisters, Zelda Brown and Ruth Delaney.
Services are at 1 p.m. Saturday at Watters Funeral Home in Woodsfield with Pastor Sheryl Allen officiating. Burial is in Oaklawn Cemetery in Woodsfield. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
