Voellinger, 89, of Belleville, Ill., born Feb. 13, 1919, in Belleville, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 15, 2008, at Four Fountains Convalescent Center, Belleville, Ill. Mr. Voellinger was a supervisor for shipping and receiving at Pet Inc. in St. Louis, Mo. He was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mike A. and Marie Elizabeth, nee Tierney, Voellinger. Surviving are his dear and close friend, Earl Leo Walsh of Belleville, Ill., and three families by whom he will be deeply missed, the Walsh, Wilson, and Riedel families. Special thanks are extended to the staff of Four Fountains Convalescent Center for their loving care of Mike. Memorials may be made to the Belleville Area Humane Society.
