Obituary (Zanesville Times Recorder, early edition) 2 Aug 1927: page 14Summerfield, O., Aug. 1 - Mrs. Michael Crum, aged 70, a well known and very highly respected citizen of this community died early Saturday at her home on Summerfield Route 2 following several weeks illness from cancer of the stomach.The deceased is survived by her husband and the following children: Mrs. John Nauer of Akron; Mrs. Rose Schehl and Mrs. Lucy Weisend of Canton; Mr. Leo Kuhn of Zanesville; Lawrence Crum of Fulda; Edward Crum of Caldwell Route 4; Charles and Elijah Crum of Sarahsville Route 1. She is also survived by several grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.Funeral services have not been fully arranged at this time, but services will be conducted in the Fulda Catholic church of which the deceased was a devoted member, by her pastor, Rev. Fr. R. J. B. Oeink. Interment will be made in the Fulda cemetery.Another obituary was published in a later edition of the same paper that day:MRS. OLLIE CRUM, OF EAST UNION TAKEN BY DEATHCALDWELL, O., Aug 1. - Mrs. Ollie Archer Crum, 70, well known and highly respected, passed away at the family home near East Union, Saturday morning near 8 o'clock. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elizah Archer, and was born near East Union. She lived her entire life in that community. She was a devoted member of the Fulda Catholic church.The deceased is suvived by her husband Michael Crum, five sons, and four daughters as follows: Frank Crum of Zanesville; L. C. Crum, Fulda; Edward Crum of Caldwell; Elizah and Charles of East Union, Mrs. Rosie Schell and Mrs. Lucy Weisent of Canton; Mrs. Dora Kuhn, Zanesville, and Mrs. John Nauer of Akron.A brother, William Archer, near East Union, and a number of grandchildren also survive.Funeral services were held from the Catholic church at Fulda Monday morning at 9 o'clock conducted by the pastor Rev. Oeink. Undertaker Brubach of Summerfield had charge of the funeral. Burial was in the church cemetery.
