Obituary, Barnesville Enterprise, January 5, 1950, P.3, Column 7: Mrs. poulton Dies after Long Illness - Mrs. Poulton, 73, pased away at North Wheeling Hospital, Friday, December 30, 1949, at 7:30 a.m., after having been admitted there three months ago. She had been in failing health for a long time, and ha been seriously ill at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Vernon Taylor on North Chesnut Street since last Januay. Mrs. Poulton was born near Boston August 17, 1876, a daughter of the late Michael and Mary Wahl Reischman. She spent the early part of her life in Monroe County, moving west of Barnesville 25 years ago. Surving are five children, Mrs. Marion Stephen of Woodsfield R.D., Mrs. Alonzo Carpenter of Lewisville RD, Lawrence and Leo Miler both of Quaker City RD, and Mrs. Vernon Taylor of Barnesvile; 18 grandchildren; and one great grandchild; also two brother, Edward Reischman of W. South Strret, Barnesville, and Nick Reischman of Miltonsburg. She was a member of the Church of the Assumption and a requiem mass was held there Monday at 10:00 with Rev Fr. Rudolph Wargo in charge. Interment took place in St. John?s Cemetery, Miltonsburg. Obituary:ELIZABETH POULTON CALLED BY DEATHBarnesville, O. - Mrs. Elizabeth Ellen Poulton, 73, died in her home at 815 North Chestnut street Friday morning [30 Dec 1949] following a long illness. Born near Boston Aug. 17, 1876, she was a daughter of Michael and Mary Wahl Reischman. Bereaved are five children, Mrs. Marian Stephens of Woodsfield route 3, Mrs.Alonzo Carpenter of near Lewisville, Lawrence and Leo Miller of Quaker City rural, and Mrs. Vernon Taylor of Barnesville; 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and two brothers, Ed Reischman of Barnesville, and Nick Reischman of Miltonsburg. She was a member of the Barnesville Church of the Assumption and services will be held there Monday morning at 10. Rev. Father Rudolph Wargo will be in charge. Burial will be in Miltonsburg cemetery. The Rosary will be said Sunday evening at 8 in the Campbell funeral home here.
