Donald Gene "Jack" Stoffel the son of Charles and Jeddie (Berdahl) Stoffel was born October 9, 1926 in Estherville, Iowa. He died Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 79. On September 8, 1951 he was united in marriage to Lucille Craig in Jackson, Minnesota. Following their marriage, the couple made their home in Estherville where Jack worked for the Estherville Daily News for 30 years. He then was employed with Berkley as a supervisor until his retirement. After his retirement, he helped at the Elk's Lodge as a custodian. For hobbies, Jack enjoyed woodworking, being outdoors and most important was taking care of his lawn. Left to cherish Jack's memory are his children, Charles Stoffel of Greentown, Pennsylvania; Michael Stoffel of the Phillipines; Paulette Graff and her husband, Robert and Becky Theesfeld and her husband, Paul all of Estherville; eight grandchildren; Curtis Stoffel, Jacob Theesfeld, Ben Theesfeld, Judi Graff, Leah Theesfeld, Andrew Theesfeld, Joseph Stoffel and Nathan Theesfeld; and six great grandchildren. He has been preceded in death by his wife, parents, three brothers and three sisters.
