Meisenheimer, Freda (nee Neuhart)
Frieda C. Meisenheimer, daughter of the late Frederick and Marie Neuhart, was born in Lewisville, Ohio, January 14, 1891. She was confirmed in St. Peter?s Evangelical Church, at Lewisville, Ohio. Both of her parents died before she reached the age of sixteen. For many years she made her home with her sister, Mrs. Clara Egger, of Lewisville.
On June 22, 1921, she was united in marriage with the Reverend P. Walter Meisenheimer. During the twenty-six years of life in the parsonage, she served faithfully with her husband. Their first five years were spent at Trinity Evangelical Church, Loudonville, Ohio. While here, the two sons, Earl Robert and Charles Walter were born. Their next twelve years of service were in Taylor, Pennsylvania; and since August, 1938, they have been in the Hamburg-Eden charge, residing in Hamburg, New York.
Here was a busy life, which was filled with thoughtful little things, accompanied with a friendly manner and charming smile, that made her unnumbered friends wherever she lived.
Her greatest joy was to make some child happy with some little kindness - a flower, or a toy. All children greeted her with smiles.
After a prolonged illness of six months, her earthly pilgrimage came to close on January 7, 1948 lacking one week of reaching her fifty-seventh milestone.
Mourning her passing are her husband, P. Walter Meisenheimer; her two sons and their families, Lt. Earl R. and Louise Meisenheimer and their daughter, Sharon Marie; Charles W. and Helane Meisenheimer, and their daughter, Jill Helane; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Neuhart Egger, Mrs. Laura Neuhart Hehr and Mrs. Josephine Neuhart Hinderlong, all of Lewisville; her stepmother, Mrs. Amelia Matz Neuhart, and a half-brother, Cyril Neuhart, both of Woodsfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Mary Weber Neuhart; one brother Charles Neuhart and two sisters, , Mrs. Minnie Neuhart McCammon and Mrs. Edna Neuhart Wittenbrook.
Funeral services were held in St. Peter?s Evangelical and Reformed Church in Lewisville, Monday afternoon with the Reverend Walter M. Trogler, of Woodsfield, and Dr. Paul Saleske, of Mansfield, officiating. Burial was made in the Friendship cemetery by the Gardner.
