He was born Feb. 4, 1907 in Monroe County, a son of the late Simon and Theresa Burkhart. He was a retired employee of the B&O Railroad and a Protestant. He was preceded. in death by a brother, Raymond; one sister. Surviving are his wife, Pearl Huntsman Burkhart; one daughter, Mrs. Floyd (Betty) Hartley of Belmont; one sister, Mrs. James (Mary) Stephens of Belmont. Friends were received at the Kelly-Kemp Funeral Home, Bethesda, where ser vices were held at 1 p.m. Dec. 2 with Rev. Charles Clark officiating. Burial followed in Belmont Cemetery.
