Annie Ford Griesemer Birth: Jul. 25, 1873 Illinois, USA Death: Jul. 7, 1953 Hopedale Tazewell County Illinois, USA Annie Griesemer-Pekin Daily Times, July 9, 1953 "Mrs. Griesemer, Former Hopedale Woman, Succumbs HOPEDALE (CB) -- Mrs. Annie Griesemer, 79, of Hopedale, died at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the home of her nieces, Mrs. Sam Seidel and Mrs. Omar Smelz, Morton, with whom she had made her home since May, 1952. She was born Aug, 26, 1873 in Quincy, a daughter of Benjamin S. and Mary Russell Ford. She was married to Henry S. Griesemer on Jan 17, 1900. He died Oct 3, 1937. Mrs. Griesemer was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and of the Altar and Rosary society. Surviving are one brother, Edward Ford, and one sister. Mrs. Nellie Hamilton, both of Hopedale, five nieces and five nephews. One brother and one sister preceded her in death. Her body was taken to the Davis Mortuary where friends may call until time of services. There will be a recitation of the rosary there tonight at 8 o'clock. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. (DST) Friday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Rev. R. O. Barnett will officiate. Burial will be in the Orndorff cemetery."
